The warm weather seems to be here early this year which means that the sandals and flip flops are out and about. Do your feet a favor and don’t skimp on your choice of footwear. Often times people are apt to purchase sandals
based off of looks or costs but fail to remember what is good for their
feet biomechanically, or are simply unaware. If you’re an individual
that has low arches or flat feet,
flip flops put an extra load of stress on the plantar fascia of the
plantar foot. This can cause aching pain in the heels and plantar foot.

Are there such tings as supportive sandals or flips flops? After years of running Marathons if I walk on the beach too long in bare feet they start to ache. I've given up on sandals that inevitably hurt for a comfortable yet unfashionable pair of running shoes. Thanks, Tom Schwab @ Goodbye Crutches
ReplyDeleteHi Tom,
DeleteYes there certainly is such thing as supportive sandals. We can order any type of orthotic/orthopedic sandal that will work for you, and the line that we use has very good looking options, too! Call my office for an appointment if you are in the Port St Lucie area. 772-335-7171
